The sorrow tore her apart. It ripped through her soul, shredded her mind and then put her back together again, like soggy paper mache. She moved stiffly, her wounds holding her back from moving forward. Blood dripped onto the snowy ground, coloring it crimson. Droplets formed into a smile, and Viali looked sadly upon it. Then angrily, as she realized all happiness was driven from her life. Incognito was long gone, most likely hating her now and Donovan...she didn't even know about her son. Silver Rose had been slaughtered by the wolves that had attacked them; the ones that had left her only wounded but her best friend dead. It wasn't fair! Why did everyone have to go and disappear?
Why was she even here? Kishi Viali tried to reflect upon it, but found, with frustration, that the reason was blurry. She had hoped to say goodbye, she supposed to whoever was left, but no one was. And now she would die, on this d*mned empty mountain. It seemed like so long ago that everyone was happy with their new born foals, Incognito was well, and nobody doubted their future. All worries back then, seemed to idiotic now. Eurycleia was the only one who spoke to her, kept her, ironically, from drifting deeper into insanity.
"D*mnit." She cursed under her breath, quite aware that she could yell and no one would notice her. Her beautiful coat was rusted with dried blood, teal eyes blurry with pain. Not the physical; it didn't matter with that. The emotional was the only thing that mattered. A scent trickled under her nose, and she was almost fool enough to believe that Inco was there. But that was just a hopeless dream...was it not?

At a loss for words and motivation, Incognito plodded less than gracefully back into his land. It didn't seem like his land to him anymore though, as if by leaving he had taken something with him, but then forgot it along the way when he returned. In all honesty, the old brute was contemplating just giving up and allowing himself to die. He knew that if he decided not to want to live anymore that his body would be taken over by the sickness and it would just shut down. His heart was already broken anyways, so why did it matter? He didn't know if he was more hurt but what Boodica had said and done, or if he was just hurt because he expected more from her. Now he only considered her love for him false and slowing allowed his own feelings for her disintegrate. It would take a while and there would only be more pain to go along with the muscle spasms, aching ligaments and other conditions he had. Incognito just hoped he could get over her in time to find the will to survive, or otherwise he would soon perish.
Oddly enough, there was something - more like someone - to distract him from all of this. Her scent was unexpected especially when it was mixed with blood and the putrid stench of wolves. At first, Incognito wasn't very interested because to him it didn't matter. As instinct would have it, though, it overran his depression and forced to the lord to trot in the direction of where the cocktail of smells were coming from. Auds were pinned at the sight of Viali and only briefly did he wonder where Silver Rose was when it struck him; her death somehow finding its way into the atmosphere.
At first, the old man just stood and looked on at the mare, searching her body and eyeing her wounds as if his slightly tender, but still pained and aggrivated, gaze would heal her. Dial shook, caudal appendage erect as his musk sprayed to announce his presence to any of the carnivores that remained. While doing so he trotted smoothly over to Viali, slowing down with some hesitation as he feared her rejection. If Boodica denied him then why wouldn't Viali? Haviana would no doubt get angry with him once he told her why Boodica got mad - upset that she was not made Queen completely when she was giving the heir and had stayed behind. Thinking this, Incognito paused and snorted quite loudly, aggrivated that with all his attempts at pleasing everyone he could please none of them. Maybe, then, it would be better off if Boodica left along with her sons.
Legs shifted a bit more to bring him to the mare's side, touching her in the gentlest way possible. Her wounds made it hard to avoid his muzzle being tainted by her blood but he showed no concern other than for her health. He didn't know what to say, but knew from experience that Viali would probably have her own words; ranting about him leaving her and then Silver Rose leaving her. He had heard something about Senture leaving as well as Silver Arrow and a few other horses. He wondered if it was because of his sickness, if they were afraid of contracting it. This idea was doubtful though and he turned his concentration fully to Viali. Labrums pulled at the tresses along her neck - the only thing he could touch that wasn't hurt - and carefully pulled clotted blood from the strands and cleaned them, waiting.
