It was no surprise that Haviana asked the question and he sighed, not exactly positive how to go about telling her; or what even to say. Incognito was not sure himself on his decision but so far, his decision for heir was pointing to Haviana. Before he got into that he found it nessecary to explain to Haviana; his only truely loyal mare, it seemed.
Well, I'm not going to live much longer, obviously. I want to sire one more foal from a chosen mare, specifically to become the Overlord... to take my place when I die.

Haviana snorted in shock...How could Incognito think she could bear a heir. Boodica...what about Boodica. Haviana would take the offer, of course, but Boodica was the dominant mare. She shook her skull slowly.
"I am nothing but a common mare...Boodica would be the right choice. you affection for her as...Queen is clear"
Even though it pained fer to say it, Boodica was clearly his heart. She had tried, but Boodica had won...Incognito's heart. His affection for her was clear, Boodica would have been made Queen the short weeks if Incognito had left.

Incognito was impressed that Haviana could swallow her pride and speak of such things; something which before she had so much trouble admitting to. She had tried to win him over and failed, their fight hardly helping her attempts. After leaving and coming back though, it was hard to deny Haviana. She had remained loyal, the only mare to stick around. Boodica he did not blame so much since she had twins, but Silver Rose made her own excuses. Incognito understood and then did not, but that was not his concern at this point.
Looking at Haviana, he walked slowly towards her and touched her muzzle and then looked away. He was obviously thinking, unsure.
That may have been the case, Haviana, but you are the only mare who stayed. My feelings for you, before, were rejected because of our fight. I considered that to be the deciding factor, but still feared announcing Boodica as Queen because I knew you'd be upset. Every one has left though, except you. He looked at her affectionately, smiling.
That was his decision, right their. He waited.

Haviana looked at the stallion before her. His words were like music to her ears...especially his last words. Awww. He did care for her. She smiled to herself. She extended her ebonite neck. Her satiny muzzle tenderly touched him as she smiled.
" I would never reject you."
She said in a quiet voice. They had had a fight, yes, but she never fully rejected him. He had always been in her heart, even if he did hurt her...and she hurt him.
"Do you wish to go and get Boodica? I know were she is."
She wondered if he would try and get the herd back together...Did he want them together? She nuzzled him again, happy she would carry a heir. Did that mean she would be queen? If not, she would fight Boodica. It was time she took lead. She was ready.

Her affection was quickly recieved with a joyous shift of his body towards her, extending his neck and draping his head around Haviana's neck; a horse embrace, something along those lines. Smiling, Incognito withdrew as she spoke again and he tossed his head in immediate rejection.
No, I have found her. I have a feeling she will be less than pleased with me leaving, probably more so now that I am back. I left her with twins after all.
He sighed, not exactly sure what to do about Boodica. She would probably hate him for choosing Haviana for a heir - and naturally as Queen, given her burden - but that didn't mean he didn't love Boodica or want her to return. They both had to consider that Haviana stayed behind and she had a newborn foal herself. That kind of loyalty could not go ignored, and although Boodica had two foals, Haviana and Incognito had gotten into a fight.
If anyone had the right to leave Haviana, it was you. We had fought and I left, and you probably assumed it was your fault. You stayed though, while everyone else left to go seek other stallions; using their foals as an excuse... while Boodica, Viali and Silver Rose have a point, they could have survived here without a stallion. As I said, it shows who really is loyal.
Incognito spoke quite harshly, obviously feeling some hatred for the mares that left him. He had not expected them to stay, but the fact that Haviana had stayed behind was proof.. it was all the proof he needed.
