Arrow trotted to the edge of his woods. They were large, and he whinnied and nickered for Routterrie, Cazen, Emerald, Angel, and Irish Spearmint. He had recently claimed Irish Spearmint, and he wanted them all here because Incognito's herd was coming to stay the spring, since their land was frozen.
Tail flicked as he awaited his beautiful and kind mares, and his son who was heir to the land. He missed Routterrie a little bit, too. With everything that had been goingon, saving Angel and Irish spearmint, now having guests, they weren't alone alot of the time. He was happy with Angel, Emerald, and Irish Spearmint. For they all seemed happy and content here.

Surprisingly, Cazen was the first to approach his father and without the presence of his mother, Routtierre. He was now a year-in-a-half and much bulkier than in the winter. The coming of spring had allowed him to graze off the lush grass, and his body had filled out even more so that a lot of his muscles were defined. He was still not even close to reaching his full height or size, only 15 hands now and about 1000 pounds. Eventually he would reach sexual maturity though and at that time he would obtain his full 16+ hand height and 1200 pound weight, but he would also leave his fathers herd. Cazen considered leaving earlier just to expolore and gain knowledge quicker, but he had talked it over with his mom and she suggested he take advantage of being provided for while he can. Cazen was afraid that Silver Arrow wanted him gone as soon as possible so that he could mate with his mom - now knowledgeable of such going ons - but she had assured him that Arrow was more than pleased having his son around, and so here Cazen was walking carefully towards his father. Long appendages carried him gracefully, hardly looking as disproportional as he had in the colder months. Multihued pelt shimmered in the bright rays of the sun, deeply breathing in the cool air that still hung around - the last remnants of winter.
Hello, father.
Tone was chipper and still young, nipping his father on his rump just before he stood on his right side. He could smell another masculine stench other than the common, and it was very much a mature stud. Cazen wondered what was going on and looked at his father inquiringly, though looked around briefly to see if his mother was coming.
Routtierre approached more slowly than her son, looking almost sickly but not enough to honestly concern herself. She still held her graceful movements with lithe appendages bringing her ever nearer her mate and son, cognitive facilities elevated to show power and confidence. Routtierre had just neglected herself for a time, mildly depressed with all the going ons of the herd, sensing the coming of mares and Arrow's desire to breed them all. Hormones had gotten the best of her as well as they had changed after birthing, then once Cazen had stopped nursing and more so now that she was going back into heat. She sighed inwardly at the thought but kept the thoughts to herself, trying to look as pleased as possible. She didn't want to aggrivate Silver Arrow and make him think she was needy, though she felt that he knew at least enough from actions to know. He understood though, and she was glad he was so considerate - especially since her hormones were something she could do little about. The rest she just shoved off.
Both father and son looked perfect as they stood together in the late sun, and she stopped momentarily to admire them. Routtierre would be returning to the breeding grounds very soon to be bred again - her scent already quite strong with the arrival of spring, but not to its peak. She allowed her heated stench to drift none-the-less, hoping to catch Arrow's attention and remind him who his real mate was as she now walked towards them both.
Muzzle dipped slightly in a nod before she nipped and tickled at Arrow's flesh - teasing him with her intimacy and thick smelling stench - before standing on the left side of Arrow. They looked just like a happy family, just picturing how they looked. Unlike Cazen, Routtiere knew why they were here - Arrow had briefly informed her of the needs of one of their allies. She now waited to greet their own herd and this other studs, Incognito, to welcome them in.
ooc| Hope you don't mind. I felt like Routtierre would be a little left out if she didn't know what was going on. I can change it if you need me to. You want me to post with Incognito next, or no?

ooc; short post, tired and muse is low.
Emerld trotted slowly towards the two leads. She smiled and tossed her mane, flicking her tail happily. Soon she reached the trio and dipped her head, taking a place infront of Arrow and Routterrie. "Hello," She said with a smile. Standing tall, she glanced around. Only Arrow, Routterrie, and Cazen were there. She was the first herd member.

So you found out today your life's not the same Not quite as perfect as it was yesterday but When you were just getting in the groove
The very wind of this whispered to her, entrapping her in its vile embrace. Silently, she asked the world to slow down, so she could finally find what she wanted. She blinked her insanity speckled eyes, calm and kind for the moment. Viali was at peace for the moment, even out of her natural element. She was a creature of a dark and mysterious nature, at her core, and was a creature who lavished in the cold.
This land was strange to her. The very fact that she was unaccompanied by another was unnerving at best. Incognito and the others were coming supposeably. The voice told her differently, and she tried desperatly to block it out. A soft bleat at her side distracted her for the time being. Donovan. She wasn't alone she supposed then, because of the colt, but what could he do? He was still young.
Kishi locked her knees, after she picked up on them shaking slightly. She wondered if she should wait for them to notice her light pelt among the shadows or announce her presense to them. Viali had no wish to insult the herd that they were to stay with for a while, nor did she wish to embarass herself in front of them. In the end, she figured that any insult could just be patched up later. They didn't seem like cruel nasty horses, with thin hides. She would wait for either them to notice her or for another member of her herd to announce themselves.
Now you're faced with something new And I know it hurts and I know you feel torn But you never gave up this easily before So why do you choose today to give it all away

I had lingered around Silver Arrow's land just after we had encountered each other and established mine sub-herding. I saw no point in leaving since I had already told my herd that we were leaving for the spring - the mountain still too cold and frozen to be inhabitable for my foals and their mothers. I didn't like being here but Silver Arrow seemed more than agreeable, and considering I sensed no aggression or distaste from me being here I was a little more comfortable than if I was at another allies herd.
Dial swung around upon muscular curvature, nares flaring, alerted to the presence of Viali and our son by their combined scents. I called to them both, my tone low so as not to startle Arrow and his herd. I moved from my position and trotted to Donovan and Viali - nuzzling the mare and then the colt in greeting before standing before them.
Welcome to the both of you. If you wish to follow me I will introduce you to Silver Arrow and his herd.
I spoke quite kindly of the brute, very little irritation in my placid voice. It was not like stallions and their herds to be together, and so it was just too rare to me. It would be fine, I knew, but subconsciously I found myself growing slightly more protective with these two of my herd being here. I stood beside them, almost hovering but giving Viali space as I waited for her to be ready.

Silver Rose followed Incognito. They were entering new land, and she figured she and Arabella stay close. She nuzzled Incognito lightly as she snorted ever so lightly, her scent and warmth swarming his neck. she moved beside him and Arabella cantered up infront of them a little bit. Silver Rose called her back and smiled when the filly listened and nuzzled her. She smiled at Incognito and dipped her head to Kishi. "Has Silver Arrow been caled upon or alerted we have arrived?"
The mare asked the question kindly, soft lyrics singing into the air and dancing around them as the little filly moved to Kishi's colt. The little filly smiled and nodded. "Hello. I am Arabella." She flicked her short tail and stood pretty and Silver rose watched her proudly, and smiling broadly. Her daughter...

Kishi Viali managed a small grin, in thanks for Incognito for showing up when he did. She adjusted her posture, shifting herself to a more comfortable and self-confidant posture. It wasn't too hard to do. All she had to do was block of the stream of emotions that kept flooding in, and place on a calm and happy facade.
"Thank you."
She kept her tone at its standard, calm and realistic. Viali retured the nuzzle with a quick one of her own, breathing in his scent. It was one familar thing in this dark and unknown forest. Kishi gave a slight nudge to Donovan as the filly spoke to him and he lazily turned towards her. She gave a small nod to Incognito, telling him they were ready.
"I know."
Donovans tone was slightly arrogant, nothing too unusual, and strangely emotionless otherwise. He was trying to mimic his dam in that fashion, after she had told him of stories were she had unnerved others with keeping a stoic mood through the meeting and even afterwards.
After Viali's tail flicked his coat, he gave a sigh. She wanted him to introduce himself. "Donovan is mine." He said proudly. He did like his name. His mother hadn't told him the meaning of it (yet) but it sounded so grown-up.
Now you're faced with something new And I know it hurts and I know you feel torn But you never gave up this easily before So why do you choose today to give it all away

Long ebon pillars pulled the mohogany vix through Silver Arrow's forest. Dipping her cranium slowly as she passed under the long arm of a thick oak tree, it's knarled bark gently raking at her back. Pulling small tuffs of her silky pelt leaving small scratches across her hide as she continued on her way towards the faint scent of Incognito as well as the two familiar odors of Kishi and Silver Rose.
Making her approach a little less graceful than normal, her barrel already swollen with Incognito's foal. Muscles flexed as she moved slowly, careful of her footing at all times. Not quite as satisfied with the forest as she was with her mountain home but it was for the best for her Master's offspring. Letting earthen visionaries drift across the two mares, the dark form of the stallion, then the two small bodies of the two young foals. No emotion written on her facade as she slowly passed Incognito, letting her silky nose slide along his side and up his shoulder before moving away again to stand near him but not hovering.
Twisting her skull around slowly to gently nip at an itchy spot along her flank, her irritation showing that she could already hardly reach the spot. Flicking her thick train against her hocks before stomping her left hind leg, relaxing it as soon as she picked it up against. Letting her rump set cock-eyed so that her weight was held upon one hind limb at a time. Dipping her skull slightly at Kishi and then Silver rose, turning her attention back to Incognito.
