Haviana trotted through the long grass that was covering the plains near the mountain. The long grass same up to her broad ebonite chest, whispering and laughing around her. The gentle caressing glow of the sun woke up behind their backs. The gentle dark glow from the night had faded to blue, streak of salmon, yellow, crimson, scarlett and gold. The gentle azure calmness of the sky was diluted, the faintest of stars still showing, the moon returning behind the mountain. The long strands of yellow dry grass brushed and caressed her legs. The midnight mare had returned. Would the herd await them at the borderline? A small dished face came from the grass. A bodice follow. It was brushed midnight, A small star painted onto the fillys skull could be seem clear in contrast compared to the midnight black. Haviana held her head proudly as she slowed to a walk. Her head hung low as she relaxed and she walked gracefully through it, her movements powerful and with purpose.Incognito trotted from behind them.
Haviana held her head prouder as she felt the chills and thrills of the cool night air, and being the first to give birth to Incognito's foal, wash through her like electricity. Her intimacy with Incognito had surprised her...But had it really? Even since claimed she had felt close to Incognito. Her weariness after birth was like a blur and things had happened quickly. She was almost embarrassed about the way Incognito had treated her. He had groomed and cleaned her, welcoming their priestess to the world. The filly was now Haviana's one center of attention. She wondered how those things had happened at the grounds. Would she even get the courage to ask Incognito? Why had those things happened? Things that should be explained were left unexplained...majorly
Haviana thought she felt Incognito's gaze pierce into her as she got lost in though, slowing momentarily. Haviana had been left to almost control Incognito...He had given her privileges that she realised, some mares didn't have. She snorted and averted her gaze from Incognito's possibly wondering one. She was unsure if she felt his gaze prickling her pelt, or was it her imagination, guilt?. A flush of hot blood fell over her as all was silent. They were closer to the treeline now and Haviana held her head high, slightly smug. She was proud she was the first to birth Incognito's foal. What mare wouldn't be? She wasn't a boastful mare by nature, but like she had said before, even she had felt jealous that another mare had been covered before her. Birthing the first foal was an even higher one.. She felt no reason to be jealous now.
The filly took after her mother and father equally. She was a delicate filly, a feminine horse that stepped daintily with good step and beautiful conformation. That was an understatement. She was stunningly gorgeous. Even Haviana wasn't just saying that because she was her mother. Incognito was darn handsome, his features beautiful. All the mares liked him, drooling over him when he was not around. Haviana herself was bred for beauty and good standards. Her Warm-blooded Ancestors were mixed. The Filly had a delicately dished face, her face like an Arabian's. Haviana made a mental note to ask Inco about this. The filly's body was tall and delicate, showing she would mature little less then Haviana and Inco in height. The filly’s eyes were dark dark hazel, a deep golden brown. Her coat was sleek and glossy. It was so dark, the midnight depths of Haviana's and Incognitos deep solid black mixing for pure beauty.

Originally when I had made my way towards Hickaria Forests, my initiative was to ensure the safety of Haviana while she was in labor and birthed before escorting both her and the new foal back to the herd. Having kept myself to the very outskirts of the timber laden domain, I had the advantage of seeing almost every mare that entered and left. Thus I had seen Silver Rose also make her way into the birthing grounds and only by pure fortune did she decide to birth within close residence of Haviana. This enabled me to observe both of the mares equally, although I found myself oddly distracted by flying birds and rummaging squirrels. The mares needed their privacy and I did not want to pressure them, and since I was only here to protect them I didn’t need to gawk at them during such an intimate time. However, I was unaware of how long it would take for the mares to birth and I found my legs going stiff from remaining stagnant for so long. I remained attentive to them however, never wavering from what I had come here to do as I was as dedicated to my mares as they were, hopefully, to me.
It seemed as if my entire lifetime had gone by, and I had had too much time to contemplate my experiences in this new land to the point that when I looked upon Haviana and Rose to find they had birthed their foals, I was overly zealous than what most fathers should be. I was just glad that they were done though still harbored sympathy since they were the ones who had endured the labor process, not me. I had nickered to both mares to let them know I was here, and eventually found myself surrounding by two elegant mares and two lovely newborn fillies – all four which were mine. In time however, after escorting them much of the way to Snow Mountain, my pace slackened to permit the mares to have their own time together where they could choose to either stay in each others company or press on in solitude. I just walked casually behind them, enough of a distance off that they would hopefully end up forgetting I was even their. Aerial sensors were erect and cast in every which way to listen for rogue stallions or depressed mares, seeking to harm my mares and our new foals for whatever reason. Otherwise I looked observantly upon the petite frames of my blackened daughter, Dark Princess, with her ivory star to set her apart from her step sister, Arabella, who was a pure shade of ebon. They were both equally mixed of me and their rightful mothers, and they moved with the grace of the mares as well. Inside I was brimming with delight but I harbored that natural anxiety of any stallion after newborns foals were in my herd. My daughters could be stolen for they would be useful as breeding and herd numbers for another stallion. They were just as precious as my sons, in my opinion.
I had come very close to the mares since they had stopped once they reach the herd. The temperature here was much lower, the atmosphere filled with a crispness that I enjoyed but forewarned of snow. The wind blew around my melanoid chassis and it relaxed me slightly, although as I approached both of the mares I could feel a few delicate flakes descend upon me. The snow was extremely mild and I only hoped that it would stay that way, because the only protection was the caves farther up in the mountain and the newborn fillies would not be able to travel such terrain. I feared I would be forced to go to an allies herd, more for the safety of my progeny and mares more than anything – I faired better in winter and fall than the warmer seasons.
Greetings Silver Rose, Haviana. I now stood before them both having traveled around them. Skull lowered to both of the fillies, my daughters, to touch each of their tiny muzzles separately in greeting before cranium was elevated once more to look upon their mothers. Seems you both gave birth just in time. I only hope Viali faired the same. My tenor was obviously concerned as I looked out, hoping to see the mare approach some time soon. Any later, and her foal would probably die if it was birthed now.

Silver Rose had greeted Incognito at the edge of Peaceful lake happyily and had nuzzled him. She continued on with Arabella's strong long legs like Inco. Silver was ultimately proud of Arabella, the beautoful filly who looked like she and Inconito. she was a bubbly, happy filly so far and that made her happy.
Incognito had started drifing behind, though she did not mind. She looked over and made a tentative step in a possible friendship and lightly nuzzled Haviana, breifly. "Dark Princess is beautiful. You shouls be proud."
They were getting closer to Snow Mountains, and her mind onyl watched the scenery change from warm to drifting coldness until Arabella seemed uncomfortable and stayed close to Silver Rose. Rose nuzzled her, but due to Arabella's height like Incognito she could not walk under, nor go under for any means. So as it were she stayed close to Rose.
They were soon at the border, as it were a little farther in as the terrain got harder, especially for two newborn fillies. Arabella seemed to have no significant emotion to the cold, maybe already used to it like Incognito. She drifted a lttle farther from Rose but by her side.
Once again Incognito came into view and Rose smiled. She awkwardly shifted her weight as Arabella whinnied to suckle, used to it Rose complied and Arabella craned her neck upward, satisfied. Rose dipped her head to Incognito and when the filly saw the large brute out of the corner of her eye she stopped suckling and stood beside her mom. she was bold and courageous, like both Inco and Rose and did not hesitate to nuzzle Incognito's chest, for his head was to high to reach.
She moved from Rose's side for warmth to Incognito's. Rose smiled and nuzzled her daughter. "Arabella, say hi to your father, Incognito." For the first time in Incognito's ears and voice rang sweet, young and high. "Hello father." Arabella said curtly and Rose and she smiled.

Life was cruel in the way it handed out it's curses. Physical ailments, mental ailments, ailments of every kind. Mental ailments were by far the worst though - they always set the individual apart from the others. Be it schizophrenia, or low latent inhibition, obsessive compulsiveness, or multiple personalities, even something as simple as being a genius of extraordinary calibre, you were always set apart. Outcasted without realising, simply because you saw the world in such a different manner, a manner that was unable to relate to what the cosmos considered normal.
Viali knew that. Eury knew that. They had always known it. Kishi had never shared the fact that she had an alter-ego, and had tried to hide it most often, knowing that it would cause an uncomfortable difference between her and the other faes, wither in this herd or another. They would look at her with a scared eye, knowing that they was someone-something in her that was not quite right. If not that, then they would look at her with pity and treat her like a foal. Still, Viali had never wished to be normal. Eury had always been there for her, offering insights on life, and making her face the truth.
Eurycleia wasn't selfless by far though, and demanded that after the birthing that she'd be allowed in control. Kishi, completely exhausted, had agreed to this with little fight. Or foresight, for if Eury was to encounter Inco when she arrived back to the Mountain, being the stallion he was, was sure to pick up the subtle differences between Viali and herself. He probably wouldn't be able to place the source of these oddities though, and that was enough for Eury to declare it safe.
Donovan was at her side, the young colt contrasting against her. He was a more of a darker champagne coat, thought she believed that it might lighten up in later years. Eury assumed the colt was darker because of Inco's colorings; she had half-expected for him to be of a darker coloring. In truth, the colt was a great deal more like a quarter horse than anything else, with perhaps a little more elegant structure. Never the less, she loved him and hoped Inco did as well.
I only hope Viali faired the same.
"Indeed, I did, Inco." Viali called Incognito by his full name, Eury shortened it. He was sure to pick up on it. Eury stood tall, with a bit more elegance, nobility than Viali would, adding a bit more of a choppiness to her gait when she moved. Her tone was naturally icy, and even though she tried to make it sound honey-ish, anyone could tell it was forced. Even Donovan, by the way he angled his head towards hers.
word count 474 status done! muse pretty good music world so cold; 12 stones other gah, eury is so difficult to portray.

From a high point on the side of one of the cliffs stood a lone figure, frame of the purest blood red. Icy winds whipped at it's long sable plume and dreads, casting them wildly into the fast moving air. Dark chocolate visionaries watched without movement as the three mares and their offspring as well as the ebon brute made their ways back into Snow mountain. Their scents on the breeze making their way back long before any of the 7 stepped foot back over Incognito's boundary. Emitting a snort that came as a thick foggy vapor before letting her ebon stones efortlessly carry her carefully down the slick snow and ice covered slope. Boodica knew this path because as Baroness it was one of her duties to keep a look out, so this was her favorite perch to keep watch from.
Letting her form disappear into the thick brush that lined the trail, effortlessly pushing her way towards the seven equine that stood speaking to one another. True, Boodica wasn't bred or hadn't birthed a foal this season...however she and Incognito knew the reason. Heirs were to be conceaved as well as birth with great care and in the midst of winter didn't ensure survival. Infact the Baroness didn't find it wise at all to birth any foal, but wasn't her place to speak it. Midnight painted pillars carried the bytch into the presence of the newest members of Snow Mountain. Giving each a careful look over, their each in turn were breath takingly beautiful, or handsome. All holding looks from each their dam as well as their sire.
A soft smirk played upon the vix's maw as she turned her attention to the mothers, knowing that they could and might be on the defense...though they need no fear of her. Incognito's foals needent fear her, she would gladly lay down her life to protect them if the need arose.
"I'm pleased to see that each of you has returned safely, and such beauties you bring at your sides. Each mother is extreemly blessed. If need arise I shall help with anything concerning the foals. "
Voicing her opinion softly before tossing her elegantly carved skull slowly to push a few stray dreads of mane from her view. Incognito would be and should be proud of such offspring. The mother's had done beautifully. One of the few weaknesses that Boodica possessed was foals, their innocences was out standing. Though she didn't honestly have a great liking for Haivana the mare had earned her respect by giving their master such a georgeous first born daughter. Nodding her skull to the ebon mare before turning her attention to Incognito so that she might get back to her prior duties.

Haviana's fore pillar snapped forward as the baroness approached. She stood in front of her princess, her front half shielding the young filly. Her skull low as she searched any sign of attack from Boodica. Her small filly peeked around her at the approaching mare.Haviana's ebony whipcord snapped back and forward as her twinsets pricked. The Baroness addressed the mares in a cool tone and she looked at each one with a smirk upon her maw. She stared at Haviana a little longer. Haviana held her gaze before Boodica looked down, dipping her head a little at the ebony mare. Haviana held the mare's gaze for a second longer before dipping her ebony and cloud skull to the mare, showing her respect to Boodica.

Skull was brought in slightly, gaze cast towards my chest as my daughter, Arabella, rested herself near my chassis and nuzzled me. Ebon appendages shifted to shield the young filly - my movements strong yet slow so as not to frighten her. Caudal appendage flicked as I now rested my hooves firmly on the ground, standing protectively over Arabella as harsh winds drifted from the apex of the mountain. Auds twitched to her words and I smiled, nodding to her as I found no need for words. My gaze lingered on Arabella briefly before I looked away from her, my attention attracted by a somewhat familiar voice. The tone was different, the movements of the approaching equine varying largely from what I was accustomed to. Her stench was the same, her overall appearance unchanged. Another oddity was the smaller figure which strode along side, holding a masculine scent that I immediately caught on to. While I was welcoming to Viali and became slightly defensive with the presence of the colt - lacking the knowledge that Viali had birthed as well as what the gender was.
Although I was curious of both the colt and the variations of Viali's actions and vocals, I kept myself rooted in the hopes that Arabella would remain comfortable around me - or at least seek my warmth. Once Viali stopped I nodded to her before muscular curvature extened by finely chiseled skull towards her offspring. I smelled it, unsure of what to do exactly. Until now I had only produced foals from my herd, so the presence of a colt was atypical at first. He had some of my features, his smell not perfectly blending with mine but not completely different. I exhaled deeply upon the apex of his cranium before I withdrew my skull, satisfied with him. I then looked to Viali inquiringly.
I'm glad to see you are well. What have you named the young brute?
I spoke with obvious interest, wondering of his dubbing, what Viali had chosen. It seemed as if every time I got involved with one thing I got side-tracked, as I now looked to see Boodica approaching. She was the only mare who I did not want to see with a foal because it would not be mine. Her figure was still lithe, showed no signs of pregnancy or once being pregnant, and I smiled internally before nodding to her the slightest of respect and welcome. I listened to what she had to say to the mares, as I always did it seemed, and was glad that she fulfilled her duties so well. Snort passed through nares at Haviana's reaction to the fatale though - my gaze critical upon the ebon hued mares frame, questioning her slightly though understanding her motives. Gaze fluttered in a 'whatever' fashion, never surprised by mares and their actions before I directed my attention and gaze collectively to everyone. The twist of my neck caused my pain - a gash on the right of my nape visibly undulating as if alive. It was scabbed, the wound not very fresh but not very old. It reminded me of the day with the wolves, protecting Rose and the unborn foal which now stood beside me - I looked to her with admiration briefly - and the sensativity of both Rose and Haviana. I tried my best to remain oblivious to it though, and showed very little evidence of the wound being present other than a small wince.
Now that we are all here, I have something I need to discuss.
Normally I would have consulted Boodica individually, but with the presence of foals I felt that the other mares needed to be informed of the matter as well - unknowing of their and our offsprings condition to be able to travel.
Our only way to get out of the elements is the caves, near the top of the mountain. With newborns that - both luckily and unluckily - came along at the beginning of winter, getting up their will be impossible. I would like to suggest that we go another herd, an ally of mine, until Spring.. winter here will only get worse, and both mother and foals are in no condition to endure the weather here.
I was not the type to seek help - especially from other stallions. I could endure the winter here just fine, probably Boodica with my assistance. But the foals would surely die, and the mares may get sick - or worse - with just birthing as well as nursing the offspring. My announcement was purely for the benefit of everyone else, certainly not myself for I had to swallow my pride.

Arabella, being tall like her father, but could still fit under him, did so to stay warm. She looked out his front legs, giving no care to if he moved, she would walk with him. Rose smiled and moved beside Incognito and Arabella stretched out under the both of them. Boodica came upon them, showing no distress, only comfort, she let Arabella do what she wanted, and only smiled and nodded to Boodica. Arabella smiled and watched the mare go away. Her first thoughts were a little rude by the looks but mom and dad seemed fine so she was too. She moved under Silver Rose to suckle, satisifed with the warm milk.
Two sets of auds twitched and Arabella rolled her eyes, going unnoticed. Parent stuff... she continued to suckel, and stay under the two for warmth. Silver rose listened intently. "I think we should We may have to go a little slower for the new borns, but I'd go." she smiled and Arabella caught the words. "Me too dad!" Rose smiled and nuzzled Inc's neck lightly where he wasn't hurt. She looked briefly at it, making sure no disease was progressing along with the scab.

-Well, since winter was 'really bad here' then we can say the wind and snow lasts through Spring, and go to Arrow's herd quck. Levi if we don't do it now, it will be summer... and we'll have to wait until Winter again... -
