Tiny white hooves thudded lightly against the lush grass as hazel eyes showing little interest kept a look out for any adult horse in this area. Russet Chestnut ears pricked and nostrils of the same hue flared, while little Cinder was taking in the scent of the many mares. She swung her head in a sudden movement to nip at a stray fly on her hip, the white stripe down her back gleaming in the sun.
She stomped her hoove gently to scare off another fly on her leg, then began grooming the honey colored stocking with smooth strokes. It was obvious that when she was to come of age, she would be a gorgeous mare.
Her snorted slightly, then rose her head looking around. She sniffed the lake gently, before taking in a few gulps of water, having no water for a few days. She coughed, slightly ill from having no milk for a few days before raising her head in search of a mare to call her mother.
I wonder if any of them aren't clingy. Like my mother... she thought without changing her uninterested expression as she slowly began walking around to stretch her legs.

x Red Rose x
I ran into the land, I loved foals, and I was going to make sure there were none left behind. I had milk, and I did not yet have my own foal. Sighing, I came to a stop. Looking up I saw a beautiful little filly. I slowly walked up to her, a welcoming smile on my face.
Reaching her I said softly. "Hello Miss. Im Red Rose. Where is your mom?" I asked. I nuzzled her and waited for her reply.

Cinder looked up at the new mare and snorted in slight objection to being touched, but didn't enforce the objection. She studied the mare up and down and swished her tiny tail before replying in a calm and mature tone,"My name is Cinder. My mother is dead and please, don't call me miss when I am younger than you."
She looked into Red Rose's eyes with her own hazel ones, having no fear for this mare as she simply stood there, wondering what she wanted.

I looked at her. "I am sorry about your mother." I said. I looked around, there was no one here. "I have milk..." I said. She did not seem too young, by the way she talked for sure. "If you need a mother, I would be glad to take care of you..." I said with a smile.

Cinder pricked her ears and snorted,"You shouldn't be, you're not the one that killed her. Darn humans." She nipped her back to try and catch a fly, before looking back at the mare. She studied her more, thinking for a long time with narrowed eyes full of mistrust before slowly brushing up against her side and nudging her belly, asking if she could nurse.

I smiled over at her and nodded. I sighed, why must humans be so cruel? I asked myself.

Cinder finally began nursing, at first slow then eagerly as her hunger had caught up to her. After a few minutes she pulled away and hiccuped, milk around her muzzle as she licked it off then looked at her new adopted mother with a curious expression. "Do I have an adopted father as well?" she tilted her head in curiousity as she stomped her foot and shook her tiny head.

I watched her and when she was done I smiled. "No... not yet. But soon." I said.
OOC: She is posted in Delepio Meadow and there is a stallion maybe making her Queen.

OOC: Okay
Cinder nodded and looked up at Red Rose, warming up to her slowly as she gently nudged the mare and yawning slightly,"So...where's our home for now?" She still had that mature tone as she looked at Red Rose curiously, though it looked more serious.

I sighed. "Well... for now it is in a meadow... follow me." I said. I smiled at her and lead her to the meadow. OOC: Just post in 'As the roses bloom so does she' and act like you were behind me the whole time lol
