I noticed this before I even joined the site, but didn't say anything because the activity was fine. I've noticed now that the activity of the site has decreased slightl. I guess that 'new site smell' wore off, or something. ;]
Anyways, I think that there are too many herds - there's almost 20. That is way too much for a site that doesn't even have 20 members, regardless of how many characters per member there is. If you have too many herds, you have more leaders than mares and you get small herds of 3 or 4, or even herds with just a lead stallion because there aren't enough mares. There isn't a reason to have almost 20 herds, especially since some are not active or as active as they should be.
As another example, you get a herd with 2 mares whose lead stallion is restricted from claiming mares to allow another lead stallion, who has no mares, to have more access to claiming - thats ridiculous. I think there should be, at the most, 10 herds and that members should not be allowed to have multiple lead stallions - at the most, 2. This will make herd updates easier and less frequent, as well as making claiming a lot easier. It will motivate people to fight for lands and mares, and just overall help the site.
Just my opinion though. I have ideas how to narrow down which herds stay and which don't, if you wanna know... but.. ya.

She's kinda right. but I think any herd that has 1 mare and 1 stallion should stay. Maybe delete or post pone the claims on others where there's only a stallion looking for mares. Restrict those, so that the others can grow and when they're big, add those in. Also praise people who have few horses, becuase later they can add to the empty ones later....idk.

Indeed. I think the first thing should be that members who have more than one herd should choose what herd they want to keep, and open up those lands given away for certain leaders to have a better land [such as Deadly Sin having a better land that Crocodile River] then, those herds that are just the leaders or aren't active should be taken down.
I don't think that the herds should be taken down to 10, or whatever, all at once but gradually....

Well, take down, 1 or 2. See if the site grows more, then decide from there.

We are making no new lands, some stallions might die off... others will have to sub herd.

Erm, I re-read it. I understand. I will talk to the staff, see what they think, there are lands with little mares... I have an idea!
