Ebony and Ivory. Hoofbeats thundering. Sharp breaths filling lungs. Inhale.Exhale. Fog clouded around her ebony maw. Her coal black coat lathered in sweat. How? It was Summer. She had striked again. Her legs pumped. The air stung her lungs. She ran for her life.
The eerie forest spooked and ghosted around her. Its long branches waved in the hot summer night's eerie wind.A hot wind. She half flinched. Chills spread down her spine. Hot body. Boiling blood. Warm sweat.Chilled. Hot air chilling warm sweat. Oh how cold. It was Summer.
She heard shouts and screams behind her. She stumbled. Roots seemed to reach up and wrap around her pillars. Ivory socks invisible...disguised by ochre mud. Her breath raked through her, her lungs screeching protest. When could she stop!?
Screams now fading, the forest was silent. She slowly slowed to a walk. The sweat was slowly running of her or evaporating. Her boiling blood was slowly cooling...Now she felt cold. The mist and fog seemed to cling to her ebony and ochre pillars. Up to her chest was a thick white eerie fog. The air above was crisp and cool. She snorted and shook her head. Now what?...

Brute found himself wandering around at night often, and without realization, found himself in the meadows. He didn't figure it out anytime soon, simply walking and enjoying the cool night - day time temperatures absolutely inscinerating his black hide. Hooves dug into the ground leaving semi-crescent shaped impressions. Nape was relaxed, dial held at mid level. It was the first time he was without aggression, defense or authority. He had no need or desire for it as he walked calmly. Aerial sensors pricked suddenly as he heard something. A rustle? A breeze? No, the sound of hooves pounding the ground vibrated his cadaver. Cognitive facilities elevated, aerial sensors erect as he searched the darkness. Vision had to adjust a she looked around, seeing a white mare covered in shadows - her body blotched by black. He suddenly became aware of himself but refused to changed his posture as he sensed the mare in distress.
Shooting by him in a blur, he hotly pursued. He remained at bay, knowing he would only frighten her more. Why was she in his herd? Was she lost? Appendages moved like the flames of a fire, not wanting to lose her in this dense fog. When she stopped he did as well, and quicker than he expected. Tresses blurred his vision as they fell across his facade. He then approached her, but with caution - unaware of what spooked her. At this time he inhaled her scent, and another mares scent, and a stallions, and another mares. Thats when Incognito realized he was not on his herdland, but in the Meadows.
Its okay, you are safe here. By no means would be imply she was safe because of him - she didn't know him. But the land was safe, and he would protect her from others if he needed. Please calm down. She still seemed upset, and he only wanted her to come to her senses as he stopped close to her - close to feel each others warmth, sensing her chill - but he would not invade her space.

Ebony twinsets flew against her skull as the mare refused to flinched. She didn't turn. What of a fool was she? She had been followed. She stared in front of her, the stallion behind her.Her ebony foreleg half raised. Fight or flee? The two rules of nature. Was she a coward....or a fighter? Fighter.
She whipped around. Ahh. An ebony like her. She sized him up. His black pelt glistened in the faint dappled moonlight fluttering and dancing through the treetops. They were the same height...She may have been taller. She stood a proud 17.2hh...She snorted and forgot about fighting. His pelt glistened and his orbs looked on almost...hypnotically. She looked away. She would never fall in love again. She had her chance. She blew it.
She looked at him as he stepped closer, his ebony hide brushing hers. Her blaze glowed down the front of her skull, painted on. She half smiled at his words and dipped her head a little. "What do you want?" She asked. Her tones were light and airy, despite the sorrow and grief that tainted her heart.

Watching her, he sensed that she became defensive - perhaps still fearful from whatever had caused her to flee. Spooked still. But she didn't pull away from him, revealing he wasn't discomforting her, or maybe she was just rebelling. He stepped back a little as she looked away, positioning himself to sort of force himself in her view, but his he was a bit more distant out of respect to her displeasure of him; not so far that he was being 'submissive', in a sense of the word.
Auds flicked at her inquiry, nodding to her, finding her interesting, following her gaze and the blaze on her head. Well, normally I would be here to claim you. However, my intentions weren't to come here, and regardless if it was... I'm not senseless. He could have said heartless, but he didn't want to come off emotional and make matters worse. He justed wanted to inform her that he was aware of her distress. May I know what has caused you to run like you did? Surely it was not me...

She half gaspedwhen he moved away, her breathing stopped. Why? She wanted him to be close to her. She half sighed and then mentally kicked herself. I.Will.Not.Fall.In.Love. Then again...He was so handsome. His coat glowed, deep inside was a kind heart. His aura burned blue..Hmmm. A cool stallion. It had a depth to it. Tiny bits of silver streaked it and she almost gasped aloud. She looked him in the eyes as he asked her why she was scared.
Her twinsets half flicked back and her stepped back. Her eyes burned with displeasure and fury at the now called fool's question. She felt her aura flare into a fieryred colour and scolded herself. It dimmed a little, streaking back to gold and red. Her eyes still held annoyance and displeasure.
"That, Sir, Is none of your business" She said in a cold, blunt tone. All atractivness for him she felt was gone. But surely if he claimed her it would return.. So he must not. Deep down she knew she wanted to go with him, but currently the fury itched across her skin, blinding other thoughts.

Incognito didn't take notice to her displeasure of him withdrawing himself slightly from - he wasn't one to get close on first meetings anyways. He watched her carefully, trying to figure something out. He quickly became aware of her sudden change in termperment, and his auds pinned to show his distaste. He became aggrivated, and quite justifiably so. It is not my business, Ma'm, but the inquiry was curious and not meant to harm, therefore there is no need for your malice. My reaction was to your distress was only normal. What, hate him now because he's normal? Because he's a stallion and wants to know whats wrong with a mare? Try and fix it? Because like almost everything with a beating heart, he cares? Some wouldn't care to show such a gentler side, but he didn't care and there was no one here to impress with being exageratedly strong.
He snorted, sort of exhaling his irritation and shaking his head. Well I offer you my services if they are needed and don't offend you. The last remark was made mockingly. Incognito was not the stallion to have his kindness taken advantage of. He found the mare pleasant indeed, but was not going to hide his displeasure of her words and actions, or let them remain hidden. Whether it is a herd, or simply company. As I said, I didn't come here with the intentions of claiming. Of course, no stallion would turn down accepting a mare and he certainly would love to have the mare join his herd, but the circumstances weren't right to just downright claim her - he wasn't an asshole.
ooc| He's being nice, just doesn't like it when he's disrespected for no reason.

ooc: Lol yeah sorry. She hates it when people mention her time with humans *hint* She wasn't abused, her owners were murdered
She snorted, but the fury and ignorance had left. "I am sorry..Could you please not mention it... before...again?" She said, dipping her head. Was it in respect...or to hide the prickling behind her amber orbs.Both. She half smiled at her aura. It had changed indigo. Still golden streaked.
I looked up abruptly "Your an Aura horse." I said. I saw him step back in surprise. "You always knew you were...different? Yea well if trained you can read other horses auras. A handy advantage" She said. She raised her head "You still know little about aura's though..Do you want me to train you?" I asked. The old silver mare had trained me...Would I be ready to train the silver stallion?

Immediately once more, there was a change in her temperment. He calmed just as well, his attitudes usually reflecting the attitudes of others. Auds pricked forward, listengin to her. He nodded in agreement. We are in agreement. Hopefully she wouldn't let such a thing interfere in the future, although, he was unaware of they had a future. As she spoke of Aura's he became even more interested. It was somewhat mentioned by his mother, but she said he couldn't be tought because there were no other aura's. He never understood and never paid it any more attention once he left his parents. Dial tilted in curiosty, listening to her intently. It was briefly mentioned in my youth... He looked at her questioningly, wondering. He was always very attentive to other's mood, noticing such things before they did sometimes. Let's not call it training, I do have a certain impression to upkeep. This was by no means in reference to gender stereotype, but being a leader, he did have a reputation. An elightenment, perhaps. For your willingness, and hopefully both of our interests and desires, you are welcome to become apart of my herd. He smiled at her, approaching her with ease, his sides caressing her's as he stood next to her. Up to you though... Pausing, the bastard realized he didn't know her name. All ma'ms and sirs, no time for name calling, aye? I'm Incognito by the way, leader of Snow Mountains.
ooc| okay, okay, thats fine - cuddles them - they so cute

Ahh. Her twinsets perked forward. Finally. He was cool again. She snorted at his word to keep the agreement. "Most mothers do mention it when their foals are young..it is becoming rarer now that Aura horses are dissepearing" She said softly. He teaching to him had begun. She half frowned at his next words. A herd...She was unsure. How could she disguise her interest in him if she was in his herd..It would be hard. But she would be closer to him. She dipped her skull "I will join your herd..Hopefully for the long time" She said lightly
"My name" She hesitated as he snaked closer, his ebony hide brushing against hers. She arched her neck around, looking at him over her shoulder as he circled her. His gait was flowing and gently, the cool dense mist seeming to make him float. She realized he was awaiting her answer. "My name is Haviana" She said quickly "It is dutch for disguise" She said. Her name had been choosen because of her Dutch blood. She smiled at his name "It is a good name for a stallion such as you" She said.occ: I know . She is a Dutch Warmblood btw

Rarer indeed. She was the first mare he'd ever encountered the word otherwise - and he met a lot of horses. Dial shook gently, the mist clinging to his tresses with his movements as he stood placidly beside her. Facade took on a serious look, eyeing her. It will only be temporary if one of us dies. He was not strict, but no one was going to steal his mares, he never allowed his mares to leave unless for damn good reason. Yes, he would have to die for her to not be apart of his herd, or her - whoever came first. He was confident neither would happen and they would live together for some time. Incognito suddenly found himself confused, thinking as if they were mates or something.
Shoulders moved in a shrugging motion as he walked a few steps forward, trying to begin their leave. I'm sure we both can appreciate each other's name, as we can those things we have in common, Haviana. He smiled gently at her, nipping her rather kindly on the chest - affectionately, as well as a sign of claiming her. He had managed to get a few mares without force-claiming, and he was glad he didn't decide to change that with Haviana. I do ask that I may inform you of the herd and its guidelines before we get into aura's. As a leader he didn't really ask, it was more informant that he was going to. He could sense that Haviana understood his leadership role, as he had already made it quite clear, and hoped she was curios of the rules and where she would live.
ooc| if you want you can go ahead and post in reply, then I'll make a thread at the herd but I'll go to bed after that.
