A bay horse galloped across the land, his jet tail streaming behind him. He reached a small hill, overlooking his new land. His voice trumpeted over the meadows and hills, forest's and lakes of the new land. "I claim this land as my own! My blood shall rule over the land for many generations!"

 Selene I squealed as Mom hit my side with her hooves. Then everything went black. My side ached, a bit of blood dripping from my forehead. I squealed in pain. I relized I was drenched in tears. My coat was almost brown because of dirt and I was tired. I saw a big stallion up ahead, so I got up slowly and ran toward him... Running into him, I hid under his legs, I cried. I was safe with him. I hid under his legs for a while. Crying. |

I snorted in worry and nosed the small bay foal "Are you ok?" I murmed

I shook my head. "My mom hurt me... then left me." I said.

My pale amber orbs turned to her.
Her light bay coast was caked with mud and she had scrapes and cuts along her sides. Tangles and burrs matted her pretty little ebony mane and her large wide eyes stared out from a delicate small face.
My heart sank as I realised I had no nursing mares right now. I snorted and sank to my knees, comforting the filly as she shivered and lay down beside me. My teeth gentle groomed her coat, bringing loose bits of dirt out |

I looked at him for a moment. "I am sorry sir..." I said.
"I-I didn't know where to go..." I said quietly.
My coat was now cleaner, and he was a very nice stallion.

I nodded, my eyes soft "what is your name dear foal?" He asked gently. "I will find you a mother soon." He said, gently finishing grooming her coat

I lifted my head. "Selene." Then horror struck my eyes as he said 'another mother.' I shook my head quickly. "I dont want another mother..." I said. I was too scared they would hurt me like my real mother.

I hushed the small foal "It is ok...You must drink milk soon." He replied softly. "Come and meet my lead mare" He replied
