As the winter breeze blew through the dark plateau, the blood stained vix edged over the border and quietly crept along it's line. Snorting softly at the few scents that she smelled here. Knowing that Silver Arrow wouldn't get angry with her for being here...he had no control over her so Boodica didn't worry. Ebon apendages brought the mare through the land quickly, easily smooth as aways...a bloody shadow that crept through the background. Content that Roman and Nytec had let her go alone, though it had taken some convencing to do so. Nytec was quite the annoying brute that wouldnt get her out of his sight. Roman on the other hand understood his mother's mood and knew that she needed time alone to deal with her feelings. So he had nuzzled her and sent her away joyfully.
Boodica stood at a small pool of melting snow, the winter had been a weak one. Only the extreemly weak would have found it's gentle bite harsh. Shaking a small amount of powder from her pelt as she dipped her velvet to the water and took in a few deep drinks. Filling her belly with coolness gave her chills, which chased down her spine making her shudder. Tossing her elegant skull slowly into the air before gently raising upon her hind limbs to balance there for only a second before taking off in a quick game of chase. Understanding that there was only her in this game and it made it that much better...no one to annoy her.
Easing into a slow lope across the plateau her mind in many places...trying to forget her sorrow for things of the past. Nickering softly to no one, only to hear herself to break the silence of this lonely place. To keep away the crazy thoughts that plagued her.

Anger and frustration shot through the bastards mind, flashing upon his facade to show an expression of agony. This time it had nothing to do with his sickness and the muscle spasms which plagued him, but instead the lithe, feminine equine that danced before him. It was a sudden burst of emotion and memories, conflicting with the feelings that had developed with Haviana over the past few days. Boodica had always been the mare he loved and meant to be with, and after leaving he knew that he would always love her. Upon returning however, and with every intention of telling the fae how he felt, Haviana had changed everything. Yet without Boodica around for a little while he had calmed, didn't have the constant struggle of deciding between two mares. Now the fight came right back and he closed his eyes with fierocity, blurring the mare in his mind. Incognito was lost for words and lost for motivation, had no idea what to do and was only brought from his bewilderment by the mares call. He knew that she was not calling to him, Boodica didn't even know that he was here; standing in the shadows, slipping into darkness. Briefly he contemplated leaving, not even letting the mare know he was here and just starting a life with Haviana. This prideful lord could not bring himself to do that though, not when he came here for more reasons than just starting over. Everything may have gotten more complicated with her here, but when was Incognito's life ever easy?
Boodica.
Soft and flowing, Incognito spoke with some amount of reserve but obvious anxiety over how he would be recieved. Haviana showed her anger for him leaving and also stepped out of line with her disrespect. He was not as authoritative as before and although let her know his displeasure, did nothing more in the way of consequences. Boodica always had a fiery temper and he was prepared as he approached her. It had warmed up slightly since he had first arrived but it was still a little too cold for his sickened body. He still had muscles but they weren't as thick, his hips and spine showing a little more than was normal. Grey muzzle and grey hairs accented his white, blind eye which was barely visible beneath a lazy eye-lid. Incognito looked at her with his good eye, tilting his cranium slightly and looking at her. He had three words that lingered on his tongue, but feared her rejection most of all.

The sound of the wind whipped in the fae's towers, but the sound of her name caught in her cranium. Twisting her skull quickly around to the sound of her voice being spoken...and as if the moon cast wishes upon the land. She had wanted something to break the silence, but not to expose a brute. Listeners pinned to her skull and her chin pulled back to rest against her broad chest...Boodica knew that she was beginning to go into estrus but her scent wasn't that strong. So what did this brute want? Long pillars churned the earth as anxiety rushed through Boodica, now was not the time to pull anything over on the wise blood stained vix.
Shaking her skull violently, the whites of her eyes showing...until suddenly she stopped almost suddenly. The slender figure before her was familiar...his scent that rushed into her face upon the breeze threw her mind. A million thoughts and memories flooded her mind as her body tensed up.
"Incognito?"
Her voice soft, almost a whisper it's self. This was a sick trick that someone was playing upon her, he had left. Left her alone with two, day old, foals...his twin sons. Slowly a tenative step forward, then another. Towers perked forward and her chocolate orbs wide trying to view him better in the darkness. Her master's scent was burned into her memory and now it was filling her nares, burning her heart with the love that she had tried to kill off. Could this really be him or only her sad weakness to another stag that resembled her beloved?

Passionately drawn, the brute remained still for a moment. He frowned at her defensive posture, reconsidering coming and greeting the mare, though he never really got the impression he was unwelcome; he knew Boodica better than that, or so he assumed. At her adjustment in demeanor he approached her slowly, dial held slightly slow, white eye barely moving behind a half-dropped eyelid. Caustic irons brushed the ground with each step, not really lazy but he saw no point in being regal. Auds pricked forward at his name and he nodded. Stopping before her, nose touched her's as if to confirm it was him. He knew she would probably be upset with him, but he could not help but keep the touch, play with her labrums gently and then withdraw.
Last I checked, though perhaps I'm a bit less regal these days.
Showing his humor which never went away, Incognito became still as he wondered now how he would be recieved. He feared her, feared her rejection really.
I know you're mad...
Nothing more he could say. He was short on words a lot these past few days.
ooc| He's upset now. sorry so short, in a hurry x0 [/blockquote]

Heart pounded against the vix's chest, her anger wasn't present...only sheer happiness. As his velvety muzzle touched hers, Boodica sighed softly. Releaf from her fear of him being dead, with him standing before her there was nothing to fear.
"No m'love I'm not mad, only filled with joy to see that you are alright."
Though perhaps he wasn't completely alright, to Boodica his pelt could be completely bald and he completely crazy and she would love him till the day his soul evaided his form. Stepping forwards quickly, slidding her muzzle against his nape and pressing her chest against his...letting her skull rest against his ribcage. Perhaps she was over stepping boundaries but if he wanted to push her away so be it...but she couldn't simply stand there and show no love to her master.
"I've missed you so much..."
----------------------------------------------------------------
Sulking in the shadows was a muscular form, it's color and bod hidden by the nights shade. Skull held proudly against his chest...though young he was always on watch. Snorting possesively at the sight of another stag near Boodica. Pawing the earth angrily, who was this stallion to think that he could approach the bloody vix? Shaking his skull, though he kept himself hiden from sight. His mohogany pelt shimmering slightly as the moon light drifted though the openings of the tree's canopy. Sable train thrashed as the titan danced anxiously, awaiting the moment to present himself. Chocolate orbs wide so that he might view all that was happening before his frame.
Roman tried to calm himself, glancing back over his shoulder to make sure that Nytec hadn't followed him. His brother was a handsome brute but had no where near the brains that it required to trail someone. Quickly shifting his attention back to his dam and the stranger, there was nothing that was going to happen to his mother while his heart pumped blood. Feathered pillars churned slowly, keeping the brute moving under the cover of his shady hide out.

Aerial sensors pricked forward, instinctively triggered by her relieved sigh; was it relief? Perhaps frustration, indecision or some other internal controversy? No, Incognito could tell by her posture that she felt none of that but the truest sense of everything being washed away; the great relief of all, like the ocean waves cleansing the beach of toxicity. Her words captivated him just as much as if she had yelled or spat in his face, but no ill emotions were provoked from the bastards heart. To be honest there was no reaction other than perhaps being flabbergasted (sp?), surprised at how Boodica had - for the first time - admitted her love for him. Of course he had always, sort of, hidden it himself with not wanting to cause controversy with Haviana. Incognito soon figured out that was unavoidable for both she and Boodica. For now he was not concerned with making everyone happy and keeping them that way. He was just overjoyed, now engaging the emotions he felt rather than rejecting them.
The lord embraced the mare back - touching her chest with his ashen mug, lips teasing her tresses and teeth gently playing with her flesh. There was no way that he could reject her, feeling the warmth of her dial against his ribcage, enjoying the pressure of it against his side as he inhaled deeply and then exhaled deeply. Incognito turn his dial to look at her, lips parting to speak but he stopped suddenly. Body became tense, cranium jerking towards the shadows and gnarled trees. Auds pinned, caudal appendage flicking with obvious aggitation and hind limb - opposite of Boodica, of course - lifting and hitting the ground with anger. Although old, the brute was still protective and with the sudden scent of a stallion, his innate design caused him to become defensive. Boodica's presence and his love for her - yet truely unspoken thanks to this intruder - only made it all the worse; quite flattering on Boodica's part.
Legs shifted beneath him, pulling slightly away from his love only to crow hop, forming into a half rear, dial tossing up and down, musk spraying with obvious challenge. any hiding brute was suspicious, and although the scent was oddly familiar, Incognito could not trace it (Roman's scent, when Inco had seen him, was less mature than it is now). White eye became completely revealed as his lids lifted, eyes wide to take advantage of what vision he had. Honestly it just made him look sinister and a tad bit on the eerie side.
Hope there weren't any kids around.
ooc| He's just being protective of his luffly. Not gonna hurt ol' Roman

The vix relaxed against Incognito's frame, so over come with happiness that she thought that she would never feel again. Though she had accepted Silver Arrows offer to let her and her son's join his herd for the time being...she felt nothing for the stallion other than gratitude and friendship. Other than Incognito there would never be another to hold her heart and she had accepted that when he had disappeared. Though now that he was standing before her, she could finally relax and enjoy the love that she had once hiden from herself as much as him.
Once she took notice to the way Incognito became tense and preformed a crow hop, she backed a few feet away. Duos pinning to her skull until the breeze blew the scent of the intruder into her nares. Roman...her youngest son. It would figure that he had followed her, unable to stay away from his mother's side...for no other reason than to just insure that she was alright. He was the most protective of the two, though both of them drove their mother slightly batty. Boodica quickly stepped forwards, though knew that this moment would come with the sire being away from his offspring. They would have to get to know one another again, so best to keep her nose out of it and let Roman learn the right way who his sire was.
---------------------------------------------------------
Standing silently awaiting his presence to be known, sneak attack was the only way he knew. He'd never fought other than in play with the other foals or his sibling. Truely Nytec was quite the sparing partner, and this titan looked identical to his twin...though he was oviously older. Seeing that the stallion had sensed him, Roman bellowed an angry challengeing cry before gracefully dancing forwards towards the older stallion. His strong handsome skull held against his chest as his long pillars pulled him towards the fight that was sure to insue. Giving a violent buck before bring himself back into control, slinging his front limb out to strike the ground angrily. Stopping a few feet from the titan, his chocolate orbs which where identical to his dams, shifted to his mother before returning to the stallion.
"What business do you have with my mother?"
His voice deep yet gentle, though he was pushing the deep. Not wanting to sound like a sissy in his first battle. Twisting his frame around so that he could ease past the stallion and edge closer to his dam. His muzzle extending to her in a warm loving greeting before stepping infront of her protectively, pushing her back with his rump as if to bully her away from the oposing stallion.

Caustic irons brushed the dirty ground as the baron took a few steps forward, answering the bellow with the younger brute offered. He was not yet sexually mature but obviously growing into his mature self. It was times likes these that Incognito was happy that he had reserved himself when so many times he could have fought or injured himself. When he was younger and not sick, he would fight for anything he wanted and how ever many times he wanted. Now he could not do that, but had enough left him to last until he died - as long as he used it wisely.
Now, he could probably defeat this young lad simply through technique and experience, though knew well he'd endure some injuries himself. Incognito didn't care though, adreniline pumping through him just as heavily as if he were 5 again. Cranium arched into his chest, ebon caudal appendage lifting as a sign of dominance and muscles flexed. Incisors barred, auds inclined though twitched to the lads words. It did not change his intentions though as Incognito kept his expression blank - revealing no sign of recognition, though he now realized this was his son, Roman. This would be a perfect time for training - just because he had been gone, didn't mean Incognito couldn't try.
Watching at his sons protectivness over Boodica, Incognito allowed his gaze to shift to her - a sign, filled with love, showing intentions but hinting of no serious harm to their son. No, Incognito was a very good father and, as history proved, a much better general. Just as the brute had extended his muzzle to Boodica, Incognito thrusted his body forward; nape extending, incisors gently snapping towards Romans neck with only the slightest bit of pressure to pinch. His chest filled with air, muscles tensing with every intention of ramming into his sons right side - not enough to break either of their bones (more hopefully not on inco's part ^.^) and fore pillars raising slightly in a stomping fashion, showing possession over Boodica, hoping to move his son out of the way before he stopped and spoke.
The same business I have with you, son, and you do not push your mother around like that.
He had actually moved with youthful speed, adrenline helping with a deep and almost more youthful voice. Muscles quivered, he knew he'd be weak later once the energy wore off but he hit it all quite well ooc| You decide whether Incognito 'shoved' Roman and is now in front of Boodica etc... just trying to be a father figure - cries -... j/k

Boodica stepped back away from the two of them as Roman came closer, and she moved just in time to watch Incognito realize it was his son and give him a shove. She knew that the stallion would never hurt his son, and knew that Roman wasn't yet strong enough to do damage to his sire. Snorting softly at her son trying to get him to mind his manners as well as his business.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Roman watched the stallion, angry and a little clumsy...true he was little more than a year old and far from his mature self. Though for his mother he would gladly give every ounce of strength to defeat who ever might want to hurt his mother. Though he was caught off guard when the stallion moved quickly, catching him suddenly and shoved him. The colts hind limbs crumpled beneath him causing Roman to hit the ground hard. Jaring the breath from him, his chocolate orbs wide as he stared up at his sire.
Shock and confusion filling him as he looked up at the stallion. As quickly as he could , Roman pushed to his full hidth and snorted. Retreating back a few steps to take a look at Incognito, his duos pressed firmly against his skull. His embaressment written all over his features, his plume slashed violently against his flanks. His voice failed him as he stood, suddenly realizing that Nytec did look identical to their father. Just as their mother had told them...the only thing Roman had recieved was his muscular size and feathered limbs. Visionaries darted to his mother for a moment, wondering how come she allowed him to be pushed to the ground...then back to his sire. Not at all sure what to say now.

There was no smile or hint of mockery as the baron watched his son fall; it was no feat to watch your son defeated, though at least at the hooves of your father instead of stallion who only wishes for harm. The eye lid over his glazed and blind, white eye slowly fell as he relaxed. Incognito gave a soft sigh, walking slowly over to Boodica and nudging her soft muzzle gently. He breathed heavily still, finding that the attack had taken quite a bit out of him. Raspy breathes escaped a partially opened mouth, upper lip twitching as the adreniline slowly left his blood and drained his energy. The spasms of his muscles which regularly occured through out the day became even more prominent and painful for him. His expression changed from being strict and determined to the slightest hint of agony. Appendages shifted uncraftily beneath him, aerial sensors switching from being pinned and lifting as the intensity of the pain drifted back and forth from high to low and back again. Single russet hued orb looked to his son, body pressing against Boodica's affectionately and for comfort from his ailment. For the longest time he remained silent, understand his son and visbily seeing his embarassment. Gradually though, the tension seemed to decrease and the baron took the moment to approach Roman; cranium level but still held with authority. He felt like saying 'Surprise, I'm back!' but didn't think that would be very suitable; Incognito learned when his sarcasm was needed and when it wasn't. So with a bit more time passing, the brute eventually spoke to his son in monotone; not trying to provoke, but also not fearing him.
I guess we have some work to do.
He smiled though didn't expect his son to be very receptive. Snorting, Incognito looked back to Boodica, took a few steps back to be back beside her and then looked from their son to her.
I have returned, obviously... I am sick, a sickness I contracted from my old herd... it killed most of them, apparently I got it. It's not contagious, but I only have a few years left. Eventually he caught his breath and calmed but his nerves still shot hot fires through his nerves. Realizing I wasn't going to die, I have returned to bring the herd back and have a heir to take my place... Words faded, not quite knowing how Roman would be knowing that neither he nor his brother would be heirs, and that Boodica would not be the one to birth the heir. He felt she to be more understable than Haviana - perhaps - and may take better to the heir idea than Haviana knowing Boodica would be his Queen; he guessed it all depended on who wanted what, or if they both wanted it all.

Boodica closed her eyes when the two stallion's collided, not wanting to see either of them fall. Opening them when she heard the heavy thud and Roman's quick loss of breath. Worry rose within her but she didn't step forward, she only kept herself still though the worry was written all over her face.
As Incognito moved back over next to her, she let him press against her. Knowing that he hadn't wanted to do that to their son. Though it was needed to teach the youngester his manners. Gently nuzzling her beloved as he stood next to her, his pelt caressing her own. Oh how she had missed him, missed this. Turning her attention back to her youngest son who was laying flat on the ground.
Duos perked as the titan began to speak of his sickness as well as the fact that he was back to sire an heir. Something in his speach made Boodica a little weary, there was going to be bad news in here somewhere...she could feel it. Haivana no doubt. Listeners pinned at the thought of the mare. ------------------------------------------------ The crimson colt snorted as he quickly pushed himself up onto all fours against, his anger rushing through him. How could his father suddenly show up again...he had come to think of Silver Arrow as his father. Though he knew that it wasn't true, Arrow was a pinto and he was the same as his mother...then there was Nytec. He looked nothing like either his mother or Arrow. Snorting angrily as he backed away from the two of them, slightly hurt that his mother hadn't tried to protect him from this sickly stallion.
Standing a few feet from them both, his listeners resting against his skull as his listened. Not caring at all about getting the herd back together or the fact that this stallion was worried about fathering an heir. Soon Roman would be searching the land with his brother to find their own land, mares would come after that. Arrow as well as their mother had been teaching them how to do all of that. Yet here was this stallion walking back into their lives telling them what he was going to do. Roman almost uttered a laugh, surely his mother wouldn't go with this stallion...he sure as hell wouldn't.
